A month-to-month lease addendum converts a standard lease to a tenancy-at-will. Typically at the end of a lease term, if the landlord and tenant cannot come to terms, a short-term solution is to convert the ending lease into a month-to-month arrangement. This allows the tenant to keep paying rent and occupying the property with the landlord or tenant being able to terminate with thirty (30) days’ notice.
