An Alabama standard residential lease agreement is a contract that is used by a landlord to bind a qualified tenant for the use of property in exchange for rent. The landlord will commonly request the tenant’s personal information and consent to a credit check before authorizing an agreement. Upon approval, the tenant will be given a lease to sign and be required to pay the first (1st) month’s rent and any security deposit.
