An Alabama rent-to-own lease agreement is a standard rental contract between a landlord and tenant with the added option to purchase the property. The option to purchase is based on pre-negotiated terms between the landlord and tenant. This is common when long-term renters decide to buy a home or an apartment from the landlord. Depending on the negotiations, the tenant may be able to also have a portion of the rent applied to the purchase price.
