A Utah month-to-month rental agreement is a tenancy agreement that renews each month upon payment of rent. Unlike a standard lease agreement, which binds the lessor and lessee in a contract for a specified period of time — typically a year — a month-to-month agreement can be terminated at either party’s will. In Utah, just 15 days of notice must be given. For both landlord and tenant, this kind of agreement ensures flexibility and freedom, but also offers a lesser degree of security.
Minimum Termination Period
The lease agreement can be terminated no less than fifteen (15) calendar days before the end of the tenancy.
