A New York month-to-month lease termination letter is used by a landlord or tenant to cancel a tenancy-at-will by providing thirty (30) days’ notice. It is suggested to send this notice by certified mail with a return receipt or by any other method where acknowledgment can be proven. After thirty (30) days the tenant has to vacate the property or the landlord can start the eviction process.
