An Oregon roommate agreement is a contract among the tenants living together in a dwelling unit. The purpose of a roommate agreement is to set out clearly defined expectations for living together, and to ensure that each occupant follows them. Roommates are expected to pay rent and share in the cost of utilities, and tenants can also decide on other provisions. The agreement should be written and signed by all roommates.
