Oregon Month-to-Month Rental Agreement

An Oregon month-to-month rental agreement is a contract between a landlord and a tenant or tenants for a property lease that does not have a minimum time commitment. As with a standard lease agreement, the parties may negotiate most terms, such as responsibility for utilities. Unlike standard lease agreements, which may require an initial commitment of a year or more, either party may terminate the lease as long as the party complies with the notice requirements.

Minimum Termination Period

The tenancy may only be terminated by either the landlord or tenant giving the other, at any time during the tenancy, not less than thirty (30) days’ notice in writing prior to the date designated in the notice for the termination of the tenancy.
