An Ohio roommate agreement enables residential tenants to set the terms of living in a shared dwelling unit. A roommate agreement will name the monthly rent, explain how utility payments are distributed, and contain other terms that the roommates decide on. The agreements should be written and signed by each roommate. Each tenant should keep a copy and refer to it in the event of a disagreement about the obligations of living in the dwelling unit.
