A Mississippi month-to-month rental agreement is a contract that secures a tenancy for thirty (30) days at a time. If either party wants to make changes to or terminate the agreement, they have to give the other party a minimum of thirty (30) days notice of the change or termination. Landlords can use rental applications to get the information they need for background checks on applicants. Background checks are still advisable for tenancies-at-will despite the flexible nature of the agreements.
Minimum Termination
Thirty (30) days’ written notice is required to terminate a month-to-month rental agreement in Mississippi.
