New Hampshire Standard Residential Lease Agreement

A New Hampshire standard residential lease agreement is utilized to bind a real estate rental between a landlord of residential-use property and a tenant who shall assume rental costs in exchange for living quarters. Such standard leases usually last one (1) year and contain a fixed start and end date, as opposed to a month-to-month arrangement that can be terminated at the end of any given month. Prior to lease execution, it is common for the landlord to verify the tenant’s employment, income deriving from said employment, and any other financial measure of status — for instance, a credit score or credit history. Both parties must sign the lease into effect upon reaching mutually negotiated terms for the tenancy.
